Professional Bio

Jeffrey Nelson, DO, attended medical school at Western University of Health Sciences/COMP and completed his residency in family medicine at Florida Hospital East Orlando. He is a board-certified osteopathic family medicine physician and works as a family physician at Premise Health’s Center for Living Well at Walt Disney World. The Center for Living Well is a primary care clinic for Walt Disney World employees (Cast Members) and their families.

Dr. Nelson is currently the President of the Florida Osteopathic Medical Association District Society 3 and has served as an officer of District Society 3 since 2015. He is a Florida representative to the American Osteopathic Association House of Delegates and a Florida representative to the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians Congress of Delegates. Since 2011 Dr. Nelson has been an active volunteer with Shepherd’s Hope, an organization that provides free medical care to uninsured and medically underserved individuals in Orange and Seminole Counties. In the past, Dr. Nelson has served as an adjunct faculty member at both Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine and Nova Southeastern University Dr. Kiran C. Patel College of Osteopathic Medicine.

One of Dr. Nelson’s professional interests is international medicine and he has participated in several short-term medical mission trips over the years. Some of Dr. Nelson’s hobbies include bike riding, playing the piano, watching sports, and learning about architecture.
