Professional Bio
Dr. Sean McCann is a board-certified family medicine physician and a diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine. Dr. McCann is the Founding Program Director for the Family medicine Residency Program at Lakeland Regional Health. Dr. McCann is a graduate of the University of Florida and obtained his osteopathic medical degree from Nova Southeastern University. He completed his residency at Advent Health East Orlando where he also served as chief resident. He previously served as clinical faculty at the Family Medicine Residency Program at Advent Health East Orlando, as a physician for the Orlando Solar Bears ECHL Hockey Team as well as the Lakeland Magic NBA G league basketball team.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. McCann serves on the board of trustees for the Florida Osteopathic Medical Association and as the president of FOMA District 3. Dr. McCann is a FOMA Director-at-Large and a delegate for the AOA House of Delegates. He volunteers his time with Shepherd’s Hope, a volunteer clinic for under-insured patients, where he also serves as associate medical director.
