2024 AOA House of Delegates

Over 35 FOMA members gathered in Chicago for the Annual AOA House of Delegates (HOD) Meeting from July 18-21. During the full HOD session on Friday, July 21, attendees received reports from various Bureaus, Committees, and Councils and participated in voting on resolutions.

The AOA also presented its federal priorities for the upcoming year. State delegations discussed how to align these federal priorities with their state objectives, focusing on areas such as supporting physicians in patient care, addressing workforce needs, enhancing access and affordability, pursuing regulatory reform, and advancing public health. Additional priorities included federal funding, scope of practice and new licensure types, osteopathic equivalency and recognition, truth in advertising, telemedicine, and tackling prescription drug misuse, abuse, and diversion.
