2024 DO Day on the Hill
FOMA leaders convened with other state and national leaders in Washington DC in April 2024, to attend the American Osteopathic Association's premier osteopathic advocacy event, " DO Day - Distinctive in Healthcare Advocacy and Leadership." The annual conference offers professional development and in-person opportunities to educate lawmakers about the issues osteopathic physicians, their patients, and students face.
Members of the Florida Osteopathic Medical Association (FOMA), FOMA President Michael Markou, DO, FACOFP; FOMA President-Elect Bruce Rankin, DO, CPI, MRO, FACOFP; and Director-at-Large Michelle Mendez, DO, are participating in the DO Day festivities held in Washington DC at the Capitol. Thank you for advocating for the osteopathic profession's interests and promoting healthcare policies that benefit both practitioners and patients. It's a momentous occasion for FOMA members to network, learn, and amplify their collective voice on Capitol Hill.
DO Day 2024 included a two-day virtual conference followed by two days of in-person briefings and meetings with policymakers in Washington, DC.
